Project Supervision
Build quality and compliance to specifications are the key objectives of Project Supervision. Main tasks are verifying the network is built according to internationally accepted Quality and Performance standards, confirming systems and equipment are delivered and installed according to the Client’s specifications and contractual requirements, and ensuring all works are properly documented.
Telecommunication projects frequently require several different vendors, contractors and subcontractors, all with different experiences and work practices, and with great likely-hood working to different standards. Quality Assurance Objectives and intentions may vary from those of the client. Vendors’ and contractors’ work may be paid for on an as-built basis according to actual equipment delivered, and services rendered, requiring proper records to be kept as basis for correct payment
Norconsult Telematics’ Project Supervision sets out to ensure that the Project Owners’ (the client) specifications are met, that standards and work practices are followed, that the required quality and quantities of equipment and work is provided, and that proper records are captured and maintained as basis for payments. This involves:
1 ) System qualification tests;
2 ) Factory inspections;
3 ) Site acuqisitions;
4 ) Review of vendors’ and contractors’ designs;
5 ) Supervision, inspection and reporting of field works and activities;
6 ) Preliminary acceptance testing;
7 ) Clearance of outstanding items;
8 ) Final acceptance tests;
9 ) Capturing and recording of essential project data as basis for payments;
10 ) Invoice control;
11 ) Change order control;
12 ) Reporting;
13 ) And project close-outs
