Radio Swap Project Manager

We require a Radio Swap Project Manager that will lead the implementation of the Swap and Extension of the Radio Access Network, and will provide specialist knowledge of 2G and 3G Radio Access Network solutions, swap practises, technical standards and best practices.

Job Descriptions and Responsibilities:
Review the Swap and Expansion (2G) and Roll-out (3G) plans with the objective to identify weak spots and complexities that can impact network quality, performance, reliability and stability.
Review the Swap, Expansion and Roll-out plans to identify potential critical activities that may require additional, unplanned work, cause delays, and – in worst case – risk network failures, and thus may affect the network performance, project schedules and project budget.
Review the planned work procedures for the cold and hot equipment swap process, and coordinate with DTAC’s O&M section and the vendor(s) to ensure all work activities are well detailed and fully understood, properly timed and correctly sequenced in order to minimise network downtime during the actual swap and to reduce risk of ensuing network operational problems.
Ensure all potential problem situations are properly analysed prior to actual swap, and that roll-back plans are established and known in detail by al involved parties before physical swap activities start at site.
Monitor the project swap and roll-out activities and compare results with established guidelines and project plans.
Ensure that project progress results are compiled, documented and forwarded to Client in required format, quantity and quality, and according to agreed time schedules.
Initiate and conduct coordination meetings and discussions as required ensuring well coordinated implementation of project activities.
Assist in identifying project risks and appropriate risk avoidance and mitigation plans and problem solutions.
Prepare timely and comprehensive reports to the Client about required modifications, deficiencies, and new procedures, etc.

Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a technical specialist position related to his field.
University degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge and professional experience in mobile radio network solutions and network roll-out issues, covering all project phases from planning to commissioning and all radio network elements (2G/3G, BTS/Node B, site transmission).
Practical experience from previous mobile network swap projects is mandatory.
Essential skills: Team work, Communication skills and knowledge transfer capability.
Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
